On April 23, 2015, at 6.00 PM, the Istituto Svizzero di Roma in Milan will host the presentation of the book  Eternal September. The Rise of Amateur Culture (Link Editions + Aksioma, 2014), by Valentina Tanni

Published on the occasion of a show presented at Škuc Gallery, Ljubljana in September 2014, the book collects the results of a research project on the relationships between contemporary art and amateur culture that was first presented as an exhibition at the Istituto Svizzero di Milano, with the projectNothing to See Here… (May – July 2013). That event also saw the first public presentation of the Great Wall of Memes, that was further developed and later installed in Ljubljana and, more recently, in the group show The Darknet. From Memes to Onionland at the Kunsthalle Sankt Gallen.
In her talk, Valentina Tanni will present the project and explore some of the topics of the show. With her, Domenico Quaranta, Roberto Fassone,Valeria Mancinelli and Mauro Ceolin will be on stage.

The event is organized by the Link Art Center in collaboration with the Istituto Svizzero di Roma in Milan, and is part of Masters & Servers. Networked Cultures in the Post Digital Age, a joint project by Aksioma (SI), Drugo more (HR), Abandon Normal Devices (UK), Link Art Center (IT) and d-i-n-a / The Influencers (ES) that was awarded with a Creative Europe 2014 – 2020grant. For 24 months from September 2014, Masters & Servers will explore networked culture in the post-digital age.
